Apple's top two movies from 2023, Killers of the Flower Moon and Napoleon, didn't win a single thing at the Oscars, with Oppeheimer and Poor Things absolutely robbing them of awards. Apple did grab 13 nominations for the two combined (10 for Killers of the Flower Moon (Film Editing, Costume Design, Cinematography, Actress in a Leading Role for Lily Gladstone, Director for famed Martin Scorcese, Music (Original Score), Production Design, Actor in a Supporting Role for Robert De Niro, Music (Original Song) for Wahzhazhe (A Sone for My People), and most importantly Best Picture), and 3 for Napoleon (Costume Design, Visual Effects, and Production Design: yep, on two categories both of the two won a nomination!)), but none of them resulted in an award. The complete list of winners is available here. It's funny, however, that both movies, along with this year's Argylle, were released at zero net cost, with production-to-box-office margins offset by Apple TV+ subscriptions resulting from the movies (only available on the service).
