Midnight replaces Space Gray for the HomePod mini

A week ago (this is another catch-up article to remedy my absence last workweek), Apple replaced the Space Gray HomePod with the Midnight HomePod, therefore going farther in its venture to replace Space Gray with Midnight across its lineup. It's mostly just a name change (if you're thinking about upgrading from your existing HomePod mini, think harder), with no extra features or anything, but the color difference (in the form of black with a tiny touch of blue vs. Space Gray's more dark grey finish) is just past noticeable in person (though not in the images Apple shared: peculiar, since you'd imagine that Apple would want everyone to see the difference). You can already buy it now, by the way: the preorder time lasted just two days.
