Netflix subscribers that subscribe through Apple will have to update to keep their subscriptions

Scary, right? Netflix has been an enemy of Apple for a while now, but it hasn’t gone this far (even though back in 2018 Netflix stopped rejoining and new subscribers from paying through the App Store, while allowing current subscriptions to keep being billed through Apple). Users have to update their billing system past the App Store so they can keep their subscription. This means that Netflix is off the App Store billing system forever, so Apple doesn’t gain anything of Netflix’s revenue, but because the 2018 severing of ties was even more than 5 years ago, few subscribers are (probably) affected by this. This is exacerbated by the fact that the change is only in select countries, though, that Netflix doesn’t specify, but the US is apparently on the list.
