Apple's September event was just last month, and already we're having some October releases! Here's a roundup of all the rumors, updated with every new one coming my way.
MacBook Pro
The M4 MacBook Pro hasn't been released yet, and already we've seen (several!) detailed unboxing videos on YouTube (you can watch them, if you understand Russian) and even people selling 200 of the not-even-announced-yet products in a 14", Black, 16/512GB configuration. I mean, the packaging is the same down to the product image wallpaper, so maybe this is a sign of a scam, but still: it's several creators, not just one! Not that it brings any major changes (of course) other than a chip upgrade and Space Black to the base MacBook Pro, but still: sold!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Apple is going to punish whoever sold those laptops on Russian website Avito immediately! (actually, this was 4 days ago, and no punishments!) The configuration sold might mean that this is the base config, which could mean that finally, Apple put 16GB RAM as the base configuration!! Anyway, you get it, it's not a big improvement, so no one is going to buy the $7500 (!) laptops on Avito. Now, on to the Mac mini.
Mac mini
It seems like the media frenzy doesn't match the significance of the actual product upgrade, since the Mac mini is getting its first redesign since 2010 (it's just thinner, but still: the first redesign since 2010 has to be a big deal, no matter how small it is!) and still everyone is screaming their heads off over the M4 MacBook Pro instead. Along with an M4 chip (guaranteed), the Mac mini will get a thinner design, one just a bit taller than the Apple TV. This chip will come with 16GB of Unified Memory instead of 8GB (an upgrade "to accommodate Apple Intelligence" but probably to keep RAM complaints at bay) and the USB-A port will die off (prototypes have been leaked with power, 5x USB-C, and HDMI ports). Now, time for the iMac.
iMac
The iMac has the least attention of anything releasing this month (even I forgot it when writing this article!). It is just a spec bump (with 16GB of RAM the new base, and judging by developer logs, 32GB the new max), and unlike the MacBook Pro, creators aren't screaming "У меня есть неизданный MacBook Pro!" (I've got the unreleased MacBook Pro!") in unboxing videos. Not even new colors.
Outro
All these products will be released on November 1st. Also, there might not even be an event, and Apple might follow the newly released iPad mini's example by staggering releases in the form of press releases instead of releasing the rest in an event on the (I estimate) 29th (with maybe another spooky 5:00 PM evening time, if it comes!).
